Building and Flats

The building’s “coat” was remodelled and “ironed”. The parts that had little value (roof, windows, sills, sunshades) were replaced with the best components. The flats were completely redesigned with modern building services, steel kitchen, natural stone, quality wood and colours. All rooms were wired to the world with connections for all types of media. The building was not just renovated, it was also rebranded as the “Jakob Weder House”. With new meaning, spirit and content, there is no need to feel threatened by competition from new developments: Jakob Weder painted “Integration”, a large fresco, in the entrance in 1975. This work expressed his hope that people from all classes and cultures could live here together in harmony.
